Life Update

Look, a post! I do have a blog!

Unfortunately, this will be a quick one...as I have class. And I do attend class most days.

Anyway, a quick update of things that have happened, the precursor to the hundreds (okay, tens) of pictures I've taken to post on this blog.

- Got a new job.
- Left old job.
- Still have newspaper job.
- Still a full-time student, who clearly wants to abandon any and all free time.
-Visited St. Louis.
- Visited Chicago.
- Was the assistant in a magic show with the creepy "Amazing Gary."
- Bought rain boots. Finally. After three years of deliberation.
- Bought a Halloween costume. (Hint: There's a snake in my boot.)
- Bought a bed with Thomas! (More on this a few lines down.)
- Painted, picked out bedding, picked out carpeting, purchased curtain fabric.
- Interviewed for a post-grad big girl job.
- Made a scarecrow with the newspaper staff. Now that's the way to spend a Wednesday afternoon.
- MY BEST FRIEND GOT ENGAGED!

And that's only the last two weeks or so. Exciting stuff.

A quick story about my friend who is now engaged:

( ^^^ Halloween last year)
She goes to school in Iowa. And is obviously a supermodel. And I finally got to see her Saturday, and she ended up getting engaged the day after I saw her. Bad timing, future Mr. Sandy! They're wonderful together, I'm so excited. But it sucks being so far away. We will celebrate soon!

Also, in other exciting news, I will be moving in with my boyfriend after college! In his home, with his family. Which I don't mind, because his family is great, he has animals, and we get the whole basement. Current progress:

(This is not our permanent bed. That comes in Tuesday.)

We painted and put in the new carpet. Most of the credit belongs to Tom, his dad and his sister, who cleaned it out and did a lot of the difficult jobs in setting up the room. It's been so much fun picking out paint colors and carpeting and such.

This little room will change a lot over the next couple weeks, and after that, it's onto the mini family room!
