Well, it's a big day!
Day one on the job, for both Tom and myself.
I told Tom that it feels like the first day of school with less sparkly pencils.
I have been living with Tom and his family for a little more than a week now, and I wanted to document some of it.
So far, I've really enjoyed it. I'm used to living with lots of people. Throughout my life, various friends and family lived with us periodically, and of course, I lived with people all through college. So I like having a lot going on, and a lot of people to talk to.
We plan to get our own place in a year and a half to two years or so, after hopefully paying off all our loans, but for now we have our cozy basement bedroom.
The first time I saw Tom's house, I thought it looked like a fairytale cottage. Granted, to get there we had to pass a bunch of bars and a strip club and I kind of thought I was going to die.
But it's tucked away in a woody hill, just across the street from his elementary school.
His dad loves to garden, so there are all kinds of gorgeous flowers everywhere. I'm even growing my own pumpkins!
Owl planter, a Christmas gift from grandma
Baby pumpkins!
Riley, who always looks sad.
Herbs and wildflowers that Tom and I picked.
Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a relaxing, reflective Memorial Day.
