Well, I did it.
I survived the first paper of my final semester as editor.
BOOM!
I mean, I won't really relax until tomorrow if I don't get hate mail (that happens sometimes,) and there are a lot of important stories in this one.
But regardless, I am thrilled to be so far into my journey as editor.
(Um, AKA I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Though it has been a remarkably enjoyable tunnel, it's always fun to have fully completed something.)
At the end of a long week, when I literally have no brain power to talk about critical social injustice issues or the gold standard or whatever else I've done this week anymore, I like to sit around and eat stuff and look at girly things on Pinterest.
But I do have a question to pose to you all.
Because I have a dream wedding board that I like to pin things to, and lately I've been pinning lots of rings. For...the future-ish.
And for awhile, I was pinning/totally drooling over styles like these:
But then, today, I saw a post out in the interwebs about very simple gold bands as engagement/wedding rings.
I kind of thought it was ridiculous. Because who wouldn't want all that ^^^^^ bling?!
But then, as I looked at them more....
....I kind of loved the idea.
It seems really personal to have a simple band that's more about the symbol than the diamond.
(Even though I love diamonds and gems and sparkle as much as the next girl!)
I think they're gorgeous, and for me, they seem a little more wearable than the diamond beauties I was posting earlier.
I am definitely loving the rustic, minimalist look of these gold bands. They're giving traditional diamond solitaires some good competition, at least in my mind. (:
So what do you think?
Would you want/do you have a simple gold band in lieu of a typical diamond?
Or are you a fan of the classic princess-cut sparkler?
